Events

Events and activities are an important part of The Gallery 1001, serving as a vibrant hub of creativity and community engagement. From our lively monthly First Fridays, where we have the unique opportunity to introduce a diverse array of new artists through our Guest Artist Open House and Reception, we create an atmosphere that often features local musicians, adding to the creative ambience of the evening. This celebration of art and culture not only attracts art enthusiasts but also inspires casual visitors to partake in the experience. Our engaging Saturday Coffee with the Arts invites community members to sip their favorite brews while sharing thoughts and ideas, making connections that can lead to exciting collaborative projects. In the festive month of December, we host a popular Christmas Ornament Painting for Kids, a fun event that brings a sense of wonder and creativity to our youngest visitors, encouraging them to express themselves through art and to develop an early appreciation for artistic endeavors. This event fosters a spirit of inclusion and fun, making it a highlight of the holiday season. Additionally, our Vintage Cigar Box Guitar building workshops allow participants of various ages to delve into the world of music and craftsmanship, fostering a spirit of collaboration and innovation while learning valuable skills. With an array of activities designed for all ages and skill levels, Gallery 1001 constantly seeks to open the doors of the arts for everyone who’d like to join in on the fun, creativity, and the joy of expression. We believe that by offering these experiences, we not only enhance the cultural tapestry of our community but also make the arts accessible to all, inspiring future generations to explore their own creative paths and engage in the transformative power of artistic expression.
